Transfers PREVIEW
A transfer moves stock from one warehouse to another, tracked through three stages: Pending → In Transit → Received (or Cancelled).
- Pending — the transfer has been created but nothing has left the source warehouse yet.
- In Transit — once sent, stock is deducted from the source warehouse.
- Received — once received at the destination, stock is added there.
- Cancelled — available from Pending or In Transit. Cancelling an in-transit transfer restores the stock it had deducted from the source.
Creating a transfer
Transfers are built in two steps, the same way Sales and Purchase Orders are: create the transfer first, then add its lines.
- Go to Transfers and click New transfer.
- Choose the source and destination warehouses and save. The transfer is created in Pending with no lines yet.
- On the transfer's page, use Add line to add each product and quantity you're moving.
- Send it when the stock physically leaves, and mark it received at the other end.
