Creating a product

Go to Products and click New product. Fields:

  • Name and SKU — both required. SKUs must be unique across your organization.
  • Description — optional.
  • Cost Price and Sale Price — optional. Cost price feeds the Inventory Value report; sale price is informational (RSO doesn't itself generate customer-facing invoices — that happens on the RSA side once an order is posted).
  • Unit — free text (e.g. "each", "box", "kg"); defaults to "ea" if left blank.

Click Create Product. An Active toggle appears once you're editing an existing product (not on creation) — deactivating a product hides it from new-order pickers without deleting its history.

Arranging the products list

The Products list can be shaped to suit you: click a column heading to sort by it, drag headings to reorder the columns, and use Customize columns to show or hide individual ones. Your layout is saved to your own account, so it follows you to any device you sign in on and doesn't affect what your colleagues see.

Stock is tracked per warehouse

A product doesn't have one single stock number — quantity is tracked separately for each warehouse. Go to Inventory to see every product/warehouse combination with its quantity on hand and status: OK (green), Low (orange, at or below its reorder point), or Out (red, zero on hand).

Click Adjust on a row to change the quantity — enter a positive number to add stock or a negative number to subtract. The same dialog sets that product/warehouse's Reorder Point, which drives the Low status and the Low Stock report.
