Getting Started PREVIEW
1. Create your organization
Sign in and click New Organization. Enter your organization name, choose your default currency, and set your locale (used for date and number formatting on invoices and reports). These can be changed later in Administration → Org Settings.
2. Set up your chart of accounts
RSA ships with a standard chart of accounts covering Assets, Liabilities, Equity, Revenue, and Expenses. Go to Accounting → Chart of Accounts to review it. You can add accounts to match your business (e.g. a bank account for each bank, a specific revenue stream, or a cost-of-goods-sold category). See Accounting for details.
3. Invite your team
Go to Settings → Team Members and enter the email address of each person you want to add. Assign them a role — the built-in Admin or Accountant role, or a custom role your org has created — then click Invite. They'll receive an email with a link to join your organization. See Administration for role descriptions.
4. The dashboard
The dashboard shows a live snapshot of your organization's finances, grouped into three rows:
- Overview — Revenue, Expenses, and Net Profit for the selected period. Use the date-range picker (This/Last Week, This/Last Month, This Quarter, This/Last Year, or a Custom range — defaults to This Year) to change the period; a Revenue-vs-Expenses chart for the last 6 months sits alongside it.
- Receivables (Invoices) — Outstanding (approved and sent invoices not yet paid) and Past Due (the subset of those with a due date already passed).
- Payables (Bills) — the same Outstanding/Past Due pair for approved, unpaid bills.
A Recent Invoices panel lists your most recently created invoices with status and amount. Click Customize (top right) to show or hide individual tiles and panels.
Most list screens share the same grid — Invoices, Bills, Customers, Vendors, Expenses, Estimates, Transactions, Journal Entries, Chart of Accounts, Employees, Projects, and the recurring lists. Click a column heading to sort, type in the filter box to narrow the rows, and choose which columns to display.
A light/dark theme toggle sits in the header. AP Capture is the module styled for both so far; the rest of the app stays on the light theme for now while the rollout continues.
A bell icon and a Feedback button live in the top bar on every page — the bell shows your recent notifications, and Feedback lets you report a bug or request a feature at any time. See Administration for details.
