Administration

Org Settings

Go to Settings → Org Settings to configure your organization's global preferences:

  • Organization name — displayed in the app header and on PDF documents (invoices, paystubs).
  • Default currency — the currency used for all monetary amounts and reports (e.g. USD, EUR, MXN). This cannot be changed once transactions have been posted; contact support if you need a currency migration.
  • Locale — controls date format (MM/DD/YYYY vs DD/MM/YYYY) and number format (1,000.00 vs 1.000,00) across the app and all generated PDFs. Common locales: en-US, en-GB, es-MX, fr-FR.

The same page carries a Partner Portal section showing this organization's portal URL (/portal/your-org-slug/) with a copy button, so you can hand the link to a customer or vendor without assembling it by hand. See Partner Portal.

Team Members

Go to Settings → Team Members to manage who has access to your organization. Only Owners can invite or remove team members.

To invite someone:

  1. Enter their email address in the invite field.
  2. Choose their role (see below).
  3. Click Invite. They receive an email with a link to sign in and join your organization.

To remove a team member, click the Remove button next to their name. They immediately lose access to the organization. Their past activity (journal entries, invoices they created) is retained.

Roles & permissions

Access has two layers:

  • Owner — the org creator. Always has full access to every module, can invite and remove team members, and can't be removed or have their access changed.
  • Roles — every other team member is assigned a role from Settings → Roles & Permissions. A role grants view / add / edit / delete access independently for each module (Chart of Accounts, Invoices, Bills, Bank Import, Payroll, Budgets, Team Members, AI Copilot, and so on). Every org starts with two built-in roles:
    • Admin — full access to every module, same as Owner, except Owner status itself can't be reassigned.
    • Accountant — a starting role with no fixed permissions; configure it (or leave it) to match how your accounting staff should access financial data.
You can create additional custom roles with any combination of module permissions, and save a permission configuration as a named preset to reuse when setting up future roles.
Module-level permissions are enforced per role, not hardcoded to a fixed set of roles: a member is redirected away from any module their role doesn't grant view access to.

Products & Services catalog

Go to Settings → Products & Services to maintain your catalog of billable items. Products defined here appear as selectable line items when creating invoices and estimates, saving time and ensuring amounts post to the correct revenue account every time.

Budget configuration

Go to Settings → Budgets to set annual spending and revenue targets per account. See the Budgets guide for full details.

Plan

Go to Settings to see your organization's current plan (Basic, Plus, or Enterprise) and a full feature comparison across all three plans, so you can see what upgrading would unlock before you switch.

Connected Apps

The Settings page also shows whether this organization is linked to an RSO (RedSmart Operations) organization, with a status dot for connected/not connected. The connection itself is managed from RSO's own Settings — RSA only displays the current status here.

Notifications

The bell icon (top bar on mobile, top-right on desktop) shows your 30 most recent notifications with an unread-count badge. Click one to open it, or dismiss individually or all at once. Today, feedback status changes (see below) are the only notifications produced — more triggers may be added over time.

Feedback & My Requests

Click Feedback (available on every page) to report a bug or request a feature — it's filed as a tracked request for this organization, tagged with the app, environment, and version you're on, with an optional screenshot attached.

Go to My Requests (sidebar, under Help) to track what you've submitted through its lifecycle: submitted → approved → in progress → ready to verify → verified → in production. When something reaches Ready to verify, you're being asked to confirm the fix or feature actually works before it's marked shipped. You can also set a priority on each request you've submitted.

Multiple organizations

One RSA account can belong to multiple organizations — useful for accountants managing several clients, or business owners with multiple entities. Switch between organizations from the org switcher at /orgs. Each organization has its own chart of accounts, transactions, team, and settings. Data is never shared between organizations.

To create a new organization, go to /orgs and click New Organization.
