What is RSA?
RSA (RedSmart Accounting) is a double-entry accounting system designed for small and mid-sized businesses. It covers the full financial cycle — from capturing transactions and issuing invoices to running payroll, reconciling bank accounts, and generating financial reports.
All monetary amounts are stored in your organization's default currency. The system uses standard double-entry bookkeeping: every transaction debits one account and credits another, keeping the books balanced at all times.
Roles
Access is controlled per organization:
- Owner — the org creator; always has full access and can't be removed or have their role changed.
- Roles & permissions — every other team member is assigned a role from Settings → Roles & Permissions, which grants view/add/edit/delete access per module. Each org starts with an Admin role (full access) and an Accountant role (customizable), and you can create additional custom roles or save a permission set as a reusable preset.
